Jadyn is the most amazing little girl I know. I am sure all mothers think that about their children. These last 2 1/2 weeks since we closed on our home have been crazy. I have been cleaning, packing, organizing, arranging, and shopping. For Jadyn that means no playgroups, no park, no library, no playtime...really nothing fun.
She has been such a trooper. I could not ask for a more well-behaved kid. She will just read books or help me clean. She has missed some naps, stayed up past bedtime, eaten more goldfish than I usually allow (okay, so maybe she likes this one!), etc. She has been off-schedule, not done anything fun for awhile (when Nathan asks her what we did during the days, she says, "Nothing"...which I am sure means nothing worth mentioning Daddy!), and had some big transitions to make (big girl bed, new room, new surroundings, etc).
Amazingly, she is still her same happy self who tells me constantly "I love you so much Mommy". She makes me smile even when I have been dead tired from working so hard and being 9 months pregnant. She makes me strive to be better and more cheerful like she is even when things are not going her way. She truly is a blessing to me. I hope she continues to possess these qualities of patience, self-lessness, adaptability, and optimism through her life.
Jadyn...I know you can't read yet. However, I love you and am so grateful for you. It saddens me a little that I will have to spread my attention between you and Maya. Although after witnessing how you have responded to change these last few weeks, I know we will be just fine. I know you will be so helpful to me and love your little sister so much. You are one special little girl and it is a privledge to be your mother.
