Jadyn is 2!

Our little girl is 2! Happy Birthday baby girl. We love you.

Happy Birthday Jadyn!

Well, I thought Mom would do her typical post....apparently not. Well, happy belated birthday little girl!
From,
Your favorite Aunt Mae Mae

My turn to post!

Okay, mom and Linze are post crazy, so I thought I would join the group. Here are just my favorites from my camera. Linze-I am still working on sending them to you. Mom, I can download them in a few weeks on your computer. So, enjoy more pictures.

Just the girls, just the guys

I thought I would post a couple more pictures we had taken last week by my niece. You can see Carter's face better in this one.

Sixth Sense Moment!

I walked back in the kitchen after leaving for a moment to put something away....and this is how I found Jadyn. Now, I doubt she sees dead people, but it did remind me of that scene from Sixth Sense. She was just laughing when I found her. She amuses herself (and her parents) all the time.

Cousins having fun!

Carter allowed Jadyn to have some pick-up sticks even though she touched the other sticks on her turn. He said it was okay because he said she was too little!

Jadyn loved that "Tay-Tay" would play stickers with her.

"Happy" Birthday Nathan!

I didn't know if Lindsey was going to post about this sad occasion. Poor Nathan has now joined the ranks of the "Over the Hill gang" . A moment of silence please. Don't know if he'll still have the energy to go berry picking!

Cast your vote!

Okay, I am having trouble deciding which combination looks best for our family Christmas pictures. Nathan and I are going less formal this year because otherwise we would be wearing the exact same thing as last year. Which do you think looks best?

All dressed up!

We went to a Birthday Ball for a friend. It was nice to get dressed up and feel pretty for an evening. Plus, Jadyn liked her babysitter so we really did get a break. They taught basic ballroom dance steps at the party. Let's just say we need more practice. We hope to take dance lessons as a couple someday.

Go Illini!

I am assuming Jeremy is excited after the fighting Illini beat Ohio State today. Glad they finally have a good team this year!

Calling all leaf rakers!

Anyone is welcome to come and rake. I seem to be missing the work crew I had a few years ago!

Go Raiders!

Well we are starting the new basketball season and Sarah is part of the BHS freshman team. We now have new Nike Shock shoes and practice everyday. This means she really never takes the school bus, just the "Mom" bus.

My version of Halloween

So while Linze decided to depict the "cute" side of Halloween in the last few photos, I decided to share the darker side of this wonderful holiday. This is pics before our party on Friday night. Enjoy!!!! Aly is "Aunt Bea" and Camille is a vampire.

DaVinci of Pumpkin Carving!

Here is a lowdown of how pumpkin carving went in our house this year:

1. Jadyn ripped our pumpkin patterns
2. Jadyn got mad that we wouldn't let her use the "poker" or the "saw"
3. Jadyn hated the inside of the pumpkin and would not go near it
4. Jadyn went to bed and Mom & Dad finally were able to carve in peace!

Stuffed full of sugar!

Well, the Trunk-or-Treat was a hit. Despite practicing saying "Trick or Treat" with Jadyn the week before, Jadyn would not say it at any of the "trunks". She was fascinated by all the costumes and decorations. Psst....Mommy has been eating most of her candy!

Preview of our little girl all dressed up!

Thankfully, Jadyn loves her Nemo costume this year and wants to put it on instead of screaming like last year. We have a Trunk-o-Treat at the church on Saturday. I will post more pictures then!

Let the voting begin!

I need input on what people want to eat on Thanksgiving. Some don't really like the green punch and others are eating more healthy. Let me know what I need to plan. Orange jello? Cheeseball? Frozen salad? Green punch?

Day at Trafalga!

This is what we do on our day off!

1....2....3!

Thanksgiving!!!

Well I am sure you have all heard from mom by now....but it is official. We are all going home for thanksgiving. So, that means we need to plan the family picture. Linze and I both want to wear black sweaters or tops on top and jeans on bottom. That would look classy outside and slimming (for me). So, think about it. I am willing to provide black shirts (mom- I have a full closet, boys- I could arrange something/buy some). Yeah for a crammed house of wonderful people! Love you all,
Megs

Sick!

"I cannot go to school today said little Peggy Ann McKay. I have the measles and the mumps, a gash, a rash, and purple bumps..." Name this poet!
Ok, so instead of calling people..aka mom...here is the update. I am still sick to the point where I don't have a voice. Hence the writing. Wish me luck this week. It is hard enough teaching...but I also have Parent Teacher Conferences and a district math training (that is supposed to be with a partner, but long story I am by myself). I am at a loss of what to do. So, just pray for me. Corney, I know. But that is all I've got!

Another Fall birthday!

Well I just wanted to remind everyone to wish Lindsey a happy birthday on 10/1. I don't really have any embarrassing pictures to put on, so I just picked one. She thinks she is getting old! Here is a picture from when she was still a Westerner.

Jadyn's Favorite Things

Jadyn is definitely attached to these items. Especially her "baba" aka blanket. She wants her blanket all the time. I limit it to in the house only! (Just click on the play button...I am not sure why it will not show a picture of the video!)

Happy Birthday Taylor!!!

My oldest granddaughter turns 6 tomorrow. I am very proud of her. I can't wait until I can see her again. I am putting an older picture of her on here, but she is really getting grown-up!

Tired Teacher

I guess there is no rest for the weary. I can't seem to get ahead. I thought I didn't have any subs this week, but apparently I have a district meeting all day Thursday. Ah! I need a Time Turner like that had in Harry Potter so that I can be in multiple places at the same time. Let me know if anyone finds that....

Hazards of Guitar Hero!!!!!

Ask Jacob about the hazards of Guitar Hero. He did it for 2 hours straight last night and now has tendonitis. We were at the Emergency room at 5:30 A.M. today to find that out. He is now in a sling and has drugs to feel better. This is where I need a digital camera. ( Hint, hint for Christmas ideas)

Back by popular demand!

Jadyn is 21 months old today. Sorry the lighting is so poor on the video. Michigan is having one of its usual overcast days!

100 years and going strong!

Here is a picture of Grandma Pauline Taylor. She turned 100 years old on 8/12/07. She was one of the first in the family to graduate from college and always encouraged her grandchildren to get a good education. She always thought potatoes were good for you. Maybe she knows something we don't!

Listen to Jadyn talk!

Happy Birthday Carter!

Well, since all three of these came from my phone, none of them are the greatest quality so I decided to put them all on. The main one that we needed to put on was the one of Carter with his favorite relative, and the others are just a bonus. Happy Birthday Carter, that is if anybody shows you this website and reads it to you.

Who is this Baby?

Look at this smiley little guy. Hard to believe he is 4 already! Happy Birthday Carter!

Carter's 4th birthday

I am challenging any of my family with digital cameras that live in Utah or wherever to post a picture of Carter before Friday for his birthday.

Must Read!

Ok, so I just finished a book that everyone should read. Nathan, when you have time I think you especially would like this for some reason. It is called The Hiding Place by Cornelia Ten Boom. It is about a lady in Holland during WWII. I will give you more details if you want. It's great. Probably my favorite non-children's book. Lindsey, I am sure you would be able to get this at the library. Let me know what you think. It is very hopeful!

My initiation on the website!

Well... this is me, laying on my bed, at midnight, taking a picture. What else can I say? I was playing around with my new computer. Now, you can't say that I never show you pictures, Mom.

A Day At the Beach

Well....surprise, surprise, Jadyn did not like the beach. She hates anything new and definitely did not like sand or getting her feet wet. Hopefully she will warm up to the beach, and we can stay longer than 2 minutes next time!

Look at that grin!

I think Jadyn likes her baby pool from Grandma!! She loves to be outside and she especially loves swimming.

My New Toy!

So I got my motorcycle today. It's a Yamaha V Star custom. It has a 650cc engine in it and I have found my preferred mode of travel. It had close to 1 mile on the odometer when I bought it, and now it has 52, and I am headed out to walmart right now on it. I wish you all could take a ride on it so you could understand how much fun it is. And don't worry mom, I am always cautious when I ride it. Next picture I post will have to be me doing a wheelie (just kidding mom, I wouldn't treat my baby like that.) As an update to the softball post last time. Since then I have homered 7 more times and had 2 in the park homers in one game. We have been playing at a much deeper field that is really hard to knock any out of, but last game I had 2 hit the fence. I just wish I could play more games a week.

The kid is back!

I just thought you guys might want to know that I am pretty much awesome. I hit two home runs in my softball game tonight, thats right, not one, two! It's too bad, but the second one counted as an out because there is a rule in this league that you can only have 3 home runs per team per game.

Bonsai Tree??

Well, I finally did it. I donated my hair (14 inches) to Locks of Love. The hairstylist went a little crazy and kept chopping away at my hair. I think she thought I was a bonsai tree because she kept taking a little snip here and then a little snip there. Oh well, hair grows back right?
